30 days and change.
I found a thing called atomic writing. It’s a pretty interesting concept. Atomic Writing is defined as the practice of creating written content in small, discrete, and highly focused pieces; much like atoms are the fundamental building blocks of matter, writing for short bursts each day will build better writing habits. Instead of drafting new posts, check back each day to see what I’ve written around the prompts below.
So, per usual I took it into my own hands and flipped it a bit. Instead of writing for 30 minutes, I’ll write for 10 minutes or 30 minutes. Basically, I’ll write until I think it’s done. Here we go! Do not expect the best writing or full story and drama. It's an exercise in consistency and building the muscle of writing. So be sensitive to my shit. Thank you kindly.

DAY 1: Describe yourself as a child. (3/4/25)
Word Count: 224
I was innocent and inquisitive, indecisive and indifferent. I was teased, taunted, and tricked. Not realizing my difference made me seem left of center to the other boys. You know,… a bit gay. Lol, it's so funny; my mom every now and again asks me…do you remember asking me for a doll when you were little? So, if it was one thing, I was for sure gay.
I was nervous, too. But who wouldn’t be? As a tiny kid from a small town with a clear affinity for the softer elements of life in the country corners of North Carolina, I had no choice but to be. I was responsible for my parents when I should have had no responsibilities. I had to manage their shortcoming too often for comfort, so I became a secretary for sifting sympathy from one parent to another. I loved to paint and create, I loved to sing, and I loved to run around with my friends. I loved to laugh, and I loved a boy. The first boy that I loved in that way. I loved to record my voice; I carried around an AM/FM Cassette Recorder that I created my first radio show. I was creative. Do you remember how you were as a child, or is it all lost in the mix of your life’s memories?
